MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

  • Memberships and birds are non-refundable.
  • All new members must go through orientation before hunting or using ranges.
  • Lead shot is prohibited/Steel Shot only.
  • Hunting license required (Not sold at club)
  • Memberships run from May 1st – to March 31st. (Club Closed in April)
  • Birds on account must be used before purchasing additional birds.
  • Payment plans will be billed to a credit card.
  • Bird costs increase by $1 per bird after January 1st due to feed costs.
  • Once birds on account are used, Coon Creek cannot guarantee availability of additional birds. So, plan accordingly.
  • In the event of a pheasant shortage, birds may be substituted.
  • There are no additional charges for additional birds harvested.
  • All hunters under 21 hunt free (minimum bird release does not apply for kids).
  • Guest fees don’t apply to spouses, but minimum bird release does apply.
  • All memberships include clay target shooting, pistol range, dog training & archery range from May 1st – October 1st. During this time no reservations need to be made.
  • Hunting Season is October 1st - March 31st (Bird availability and weather permitting)
  • A valid credit card must be provided at time of membership enrollment. The card will be used as the main means of payment for additional birds being purchased, any applicable guest fees, and in the case of a no show.
  • Must be at least 18 years or older to be a member.
  • Birds on account must have reservations made by March 5th and do not carry over to the following year. No exceptions will be made.

  • Guide costs $120.00
  • Guide and Bird Fees are non-refundable if cancelled less than 24 hours prior.
  • Rates increase by $100.00 October 1st.

    • SPECIALS/CLEAN UP HUNTS

  • Coon Creek offers Clean-Up Hunts for our members. TUESDAYS ONLY.
  • $25/field reservation
  • $25 field reservation applies if not cancelled with 24 hours notice
  • No Guides available for clean-up hunts.
  • Birds can be released but minimums apply.

    • HOURS OF OPERATION

  • Coon Creek offers 2 hunts a day
    Morning Hunts Start at 8 AM & Afternoon Hunts Start at 1 PM.
  • Hunts available Tuesday – Sunday.
  • Scheduling hunts – Monday – Friday. 8 AM – 5 PM.
  • Thanksgiving Day AM hunts only.
  • Christmas Eve AM hunts only.
  • Closed Christmas Day.
  • New Year’s Eve AM hunts only.
  • Open New Year’s Day.

    • CANCELLATION POLICY

    Rain, snow, sleet or shine, all members are required to notify the club of any cancellations 24 hours prior. If leaving a message via email or phone, please note cancellations are not considered confirmed until text notification is received.

    Guide and bird fees are non-refundable if cancelled less than 24 hours prior. Guided hunts can also be cancelled due to extreme weather.


    INTRODUCTORY/TRIAL HUNTS

    Coon Creek is a member-only club, but we do allow trial hunts for the purpose of checking out our club. All trial hunts must be paid in full when booking. Learn more


    NO SHOW POLICY

    Any member or trial hunt who doesn’t cancel within 24 hours is charged for the hunt – including birds & guides.


    • Coon Creek is a special place. I feel incredibly lucky to have what seems like my own personal hunting property 30 minutes from my house. A handful of years ago, my lab put up her first rooster in the Coon Creek fields. Today, my dog and I get depressed if we don't get out once a week. The clubhouse is loaded with amenities and the staff is like family. We will be Coon Creek Hunt Club members for life.

    • "Coon Creek Hunt Club has to be the finest hunt club in the Midwest. The club house has every amenity possible. The newly added pistol ranges are superb. The staff is always available for reservations, cancellations or to just answer questions. The club membership fees are beyond reasonable. The hunting fields are huge and very diverse in farmland growth. CCHC guides are the best in the business, they only hire the best with the best dogs and the guides always insure your hunt is safe and productive. The guide service is priced very reasonably. There is no need to go to another state for pheasant hunting as CCHC has everything to offer that a distant state would offer. You just can't go wrong by joining Coon Creek Hunt Club.     • I cannot imagine a world without Coon Creek Hunt Club. I joined 7 years ago mainly to get my new Labrador puppy trained up for hunting out west. I soon discovered the club, the staff and the excellent cover were something I could enjoy year round. Both of my sons learned to hunt at Coon Creek and enjoy it as much as I do.

    • The look and feel of South Dakota, less than 60 miles from Chicago! Coon Creek Hunt Club’s fields couldn’t offer a better upland hunting experience. If I hadn’t just drove an hour, I would think I was walking through the fields of South Dakota.

    • Upland hunting at Coon Creek is fantastic all season but is only one aspect of the great experience I get out of the club. It also provides a first class clubhouse to host an event or enjoy some time after the hunt and when the upland season ends I appreciate the pistol, bow and clay ranges that make the facilities enjoyable year round.
